Born in Belgium, Aileen came to the U.S. to study Animation Film at California Institute of the Arts.
After graduating she worked in Los Angeles for 12 years as a freelancer, for companies such a Walt Disney Imagineering, Steven Spielberg’s Starbright Foundation, and Digital Domain. In 2004 she moved to New York City with her husband John Rocco, to pursue a career in Children’s books. Aileen now lives in Brooklyn with her husband, daughter and dog. She is currently working on her fourth picture book.
